Devices and Gateways

The platform models devices and gateways separately.

A device is the source of measurements. For LoRaWAN devices, the DevEUI is an important external identity.

A gateway is network infrastructure. It helps transport LoRaWAN messages but is not the business source of the measurement.

This distinction matters because devices, gateways, customer assignments, and measurement points can have different lifecycles.
